  9. Actually, texting is a form of written communication. Yes, I agree it has become a bit of a ‘disease’ of society today, but I think that when we type, we remember and are more selective with the words and phrases we use. Spoken words can slip, hence the term Loose Tongue. And what comes out of one’s mouth, cannot be deleted.

    It has turned into a different form of communication but another danger develops when people read into the text or email or take the content literally.

  13. My adult child comes to visit once a year and she and husband text on their phones the whole time except when we eat out together.
