Two beautiful turtles would become lunch in Papua New Guinea, finally had another fate. Arron Culling and his colleague Mark bought them in a local food market and let them free where they belong-in the sea.
“Those were found in the local market, “Culling wrote on Facebook.”We got them for 50 bucks we drove five miles and we released.” These are not the first turtles destined for slaughter and saved by the two men. About 10, had the same (good) luck.
There are seven different species of sea turtles in the world and almost all of them are at risk because of the fisheries of the turtles, which is still legal in most areas.
