Smile. Yes, I speak to you. To you who run. Running to catch the subway or the bus. Running at work, in school, running to catch the gang because you are late again. Even running to find love. Whether or not being together, you always give and give more. You always save the moment so the end does not come and when it comes, you are throwing your selfishness to the persecution. Yes, I talk about the End. You have learned to love it or have learned to fear it? Did you give up when needed or thought what will people say? Did you break up when you learned that your partner has a parallel relationship or feared that solitude will become your new companion and did nothing?
Why are you afraid? What do you have to fear? You’re a strong human. You have been through enough and still standing on your feet. You afraid of yourself, know very well that you’re not like the others. You are cynical, realistic, but at the same time sensitive, romantic and wanted more than anything to maintain your childhood purity. Relationships, friends, situations. Your innocent side is hidden and it hurts. You that your defense is to look hard. You that the others could not treat right and invented flaws about yourself. They filled you with guilt and remorse that you are a bad person. Who? You! Maybe it’s time to love your specifics, assessments and learn to live with them?
Stop doing this to yourself. Rise on the surface your sensitivity, your goodness, your romance. Become the human you want to meet, don’t they say? What are you waiting for? Show what you really are. Do not be grumpy for those who do not feel. Smile in the morning at your neighbor, smile at your boss, your ex, worldwide. Show and believe that you are well. Talk to them without words, only showing your smile what you really are. Could I write endless lines for the benefit of a smile, but I will not do it right now, because the problem is deeper.
Being locked to yourself doesn’t prove anything. Think that your problems are the Sea and your smile a sponge that you are forcing it to go to the bottom, but it pops up again and again on the surface. What if something troubles you, deal with a smile because you cannot do otherwise. When you start doing it, you will see for yourself. All will go otherwise.
Smile and all the doors will open. Simply because people around you die for doses of optimism, positive energy and joy. Smile because you are here and live and walk and talk and breathe. Appreciate the gift called life with many, many smiles. Think what you passed, the pain that you felt, smiling. Seem to look a little funny now, huh?
