It is known that alcohol lowers inhibitions and increases the desire for sex. What about when the time comes the desire to become a reality?
A multitude of research has shown that the misuse of alcohol reduces your sexual performance, a newer scientific research from Australia however, upsets the established concept, showing that in this case the rule of measure, i.e. one drink a day, takes the erectile dysfunction away.
The research was made by the Keogh Institute of Medical Research, University of West Australia and argues that moderate alcohol consumption protects against long-term sexual impotency.
According to the study, men who drink a moderate amount of alcohol, say that they have 25%-30% fewer erection problems compared with those who drink tea. Those who consume up to four drinks a day, five days a week, showing “favorable correlation” with the normal erectile function.
Also the “weekend drinkers” and those who go to feasts and parties, have a smaller percentage of erectile dysfunction compared with those who drink only once a week or less. Greater risk of poor sexual performance show “Advanced” drinkers (even when you have quit it), those who smoke and those who suffer from heart disease.
According to the survey, men who suffer from erectile dysfunction is more likely-compared to the average-to display heart condition. However, the researchers warned that this research doesn’t give an excuse for men to start heavy drinking.
